Hi! My name is Kate and I am a PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia) Community Champion Volunteer. As someone who has experienced postnatal anxiety I want to help PANDA raise awareness by hosting Fitness Fundraiser on Sunday 19th November as part of Perinatal Depression & Anxiety Awareness Week (12-19 November).
I’m aiming to bring locals together to talk about the joys and challenges of parenting. I really hope it will help raise the profile of this important issue in our community. It’s important for people in our community to know more about perinatal (from pregnancy up to a year after birth) mental illness so they recognise the signs and symptoms and seek help as early as possible. I know the impact it can have on a family and how scary and isolating it can be.
Exercise played a huge role in how I managed postnatal anxiety so I have teamed up with some amazing personal trainers who look after Mums on the Central Coast to bring you a morning of fitness so we can all move, sweat and laugh together, have fun, meet some new people and learn about and raise money for PANDA.
Please join us!!!!!!! The sessions are open to absolutely everyone; suitable for all fitness levels, kids are welcome (but your own responsibility, no crèche provided)
